Windsor Residence

Please whatever you do, don’t live in this building. I was provided this accommodation as part of my job so I had no say in it and it was fine to begin with but very quickly went downhill. The only pro I can say is AC was great for us in terms of how cool it kept the apartment. The cons are too many. (1) management/security is awful and really not supportive at all. The amount of times there would be an issue with the water randomly being orange because of rust and you’d have to run it for 20+ minutes to turn clear - no mention or heads up at all from management that this is happening or can happen. When you call down to security they’ll act like they don’t know there’s an issue and then when they ask you what apartment you’re in they’ll say oh yeah this is an issue others are experiencing it. Same exact situation with the gas - can’t tell you how many times I’d go to cook and there’s no gas. Again, no pre warning or anything about it (2) the lifts absolutely suck. The amount of times 1 or 2 lifts are out for literal WEEKS. One time - being heavily pregnant - ALL of the lifts from the basement parking were out of order. Nothing to say why it happened and they were out of order for over an hour. (3) parking is an absolute joke. You might think you’re safe because you have your own parking spot but don’t be fooled. People from outside and inside the building will either take your spot or block you in. Does security do anything? No. Does building management care to do anything? No. People are also blind to any notes about not parking in your spot or blocking you in so everyday is a gamble when going down to your parking spot. (4) outdated. The whole entire building is so old and outdated - nothing nice or new about the feel of it. It’s just dark brown and yellow and old. The westzone supermarket underneath absolutely stinks of sewage so don’t bother going down there. (5) cars outside the building - every single day you will have people just stopping outside the building to park when all the parking bays have been taken so getting past can be a tight squeeze. If you have a nice expensive car you care about - this is not the building or area for you. Do yourself a favour and go live elsewhere than this place

Provided this accommodation as part of employment at a popular local school and I would not recommend it to anyone looking to make the move from UK to Dubai -The management company doesn't do anything about the lack of security or the parking issues in the building. Cars blocking the fire exits, blocking entrances to car park bays. Any stranger from the street can access any apartment floor from the car park, no point having a security team in reception. -Management will try to charge you over 1500 USD for a space in a car park which they don't secure. -The gas supply goes off for everyone every month for an outage -There's rubbish left in the garbage rooms on the floor. -Fire/Smoke alarm goes off regularly and security call it a false alarm. Happens so often we don't even know what a real alarm will be like. Good points - Lifts work well and are fast -AC is cool

I’m very disappointed with Windsor Residence. The water flow is extremely bad and inconsistent, making daily tasks really difficult. On top of that, even the chiller doesn’t work properly, which is very frustrating especially in this weather. For the rent being charged, basic facilities like proper water supply and functioning cooling should not be an issue. Definitely not satisfied with the maintenance and management here.
