BEWARE !!! Me and my family just returned home after spending a month in Dubai. We rented a two bedroom apartment from LIVBNB. We stayed in Beach Vista Room number 2305. First I must mention that to get in and out of this area there’s only one road and in the afternoons there’s always a traffic jam which can take you 40 minutes to one hour to get onto the main roads. From day one this apartment was a nightmare. I booked with a woman named Kathrine. There were five of us including my children and my elderly mother. We arrived late night and had to order water as there was not even one bottle of water in this $6000 apartment. The parking is on the 4th level of the building and the path is very narrow and curvy. I had an SUV so it was very difficult to get in and out everyday. There’s no street parking. For five people there was only 3 towels and no extra blankets to cover with. After asking for additional bedding I was told I would have to pay for this. I had to explain and send numerous amount of pictures of the comforter. The next day a flat sheet arrived at the door. Looked like someone just took it from their home and dropped it there. To access the beach you had to walk through the lobby which I thought was weird. The pool was filthy and I often saw residents dogs urinating, nearby. This area is a completely mess and construction everywhere. The stove had a significant amount of scratches and often would not light or stay lit whilst cooking. They sent maintenance for this, but the guys did not understand what we were saying. They do NOT understand English. One and half weeks into our month long stay we noticed that the water was not getting cold only hot. I Had to contact Katherine again she sent over maintenance to try to fix the issue, but they could not fix the issue. And said that they would return another day. Two days past and I didn’t hear from anyone. I literally had to follow up with Kathrine again as we were washing dishes and showering with boiling hot water. Maintenance arrived again and each time they came, I have to waste my vacation time waiting around on them for hours. After days of trying to figure out the issue, they came up with a conclusion that this issue cannot be fixed. Katherine did not care about this issue and seemed annoyed when I reached out to her. At times she would not even reply to my messages. I told her that my family were unable to shower ( due to the burning hot water )and had to go down by the pool area instead to shower. Her only resolution was moving us to another apartment. By that time, we were already settled in. I literally cleaned the whole apartment and packed away all of our belongings and made ourselves at home. There was no way that I was going to do that all over again in another apartment and I explained that to her. It would take away two whole days from my vacation to pack up everything and move. All we needed was the water situation to be fixed. I don’t think that asking for too much. I even sent her videos of the water steaming hot. Water from the faucet. They claimed that pipes would need to be rerouted in order to fix the hot water issue and that would take months to fix. We also saw roaches which I will include a picture of. I told her that at this point we would need to be compensated in some way. Katherine told me I would need to email her management team which I did. They took over a week to reply. They claimed they sent housekeeping team over to clean and sanitize the apartment. Which is an absolute lie. This company (LivBNB) and Katherine is an absolute disgrace. I would’ve never expected to be treated this way from such a huge management company in Dubai. We stayed there and continued showering by the pool area. We were told that we would not be compensated for anything as we decided not to move to another apartment.
